What's a good, cheap smartphone to get? Preferably an iPhone or HTC?

I've been using a windows phone recently, but they're often ignored by mainstream apps and such, so I want something better.

It has to be decent, and less than &pound;200 since I rely on money from birthdays/christmas since I don't have a part time job yet.

It has to be an unlocked phone since I'm already on contract.

I would say go for HTC before you go for iPhone, heard a lot of people prefer that one, but the model type will depend on the amount of money you have, best to go into a store and compare them for yourself.

I think you should buy an iPhone because I had a HTC and it was rubbish and I personally prefer iPhones
