... then it stalls it has been getting worse lately when I rev it up it stays running it's almost like I have to keep pressure on the gas sometimes to keep it running is there a way I can test it without buying parts that I might not need
What would make a truck stall when you start it.. when I crank it up sometimes it's real weak and?

It's a 2000 dodge Dakota v6 I took off the air intake sensor and cleaned it off and put it back in so far it seems to run better apparently my truck don't have an external fuel filter I'm told it's connected to a fuel pressure regulator.. and that's new for me never had one of them before

lack of information makes this a weird idea. Change these things. Pressure control valve, air filter, if water humidity got into the fuel system then change the gas filter.
Do the first two and see if the problem stops. Changing a fuel filter is like time to get a diagnostic book. This is often a chilton manual for your own specific vehicle at a car parts store.
