The bible says God made two suns and ancient Egyptians recorded that they had two suns before the one we have now. One of them was green.
The greater of earth’s two heavenly luminaries; the earth’s principal created source of energy, without which life on earth would be impossible. The sun (Heb., sheʹmesh; Gr., heʹli·os), together with the moon, also serves man as a timepiece for measuring the seasons, days, and years. (Ge 1:14-18
The surface temperature of the sun is said to be about 6,000° C. (11,000° F.). But because of its great distance from the earth, less than one billionth of its radiant energy reaches the earth, an amount, however, fully sufficient to provide ideal climatic conditions that make vegetable and animal life on earth possible.—De 33:14;

The one who created the sun knows how it works. Most people take the sun for granted, even though their lives depend on it. and they miss what the sun can teach us. The Bible says of Jehovah: “You . . . prepared the luminary, even the sun.” (Psalm 74:16) The sun brings honor to Jehovah, “the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 19:1; 146:6) It is just one of countless heavenly bodies that teach us about Jehovah’s immense creative power. He has also given man accurate understanding how it works. For more information on this subject and others go to jw,org for free downloads, publications or read online.
