What would happen if a 8th grade student pass the COMPASS test but does not pass the reading STAAR?

Some students do better on some subjects better than others. It doesn't always mean they are bad at them. They may just not be good test takers or don't understand what the test is asking. It took my 4 tries to pass the math istep (Indiana's standardized test) simply because I struggle with Math but I excelled on my English.
