What will be the ultimate of technology?

A scary question.... Well we..ie. humans have now
Created a computer that can be fed a sugar type substance and it also creates waste...so fast forward a bit and eventually the machines will create themselves thus eventually making them smarter than humans, thus making humans obsolete. So instead of sending machines to war the machines will send the less important, less intelligent beings, ie. us.
