What was shopping and trading like in Jerusalem in the Bible times/Ancient times?

Almost everything would have been market style, either open markets or indoor markets with various traders around and about who'd simply spread their wares on a blanket or sheet. Barter and roman currency (serstersii) would have been the norm.
