My sales manager has been extremely negative this month , resulting in me losing sales which directly affects my pay. On top off his negativity I have to deal with him paying more attention to his spades game on his cell phone instead of our teams performance. It's very hard for me to even respect this type of behavior.

1. Ask to be transferred to another team with a different sales manager. (Might have negative repercussions from current manager).
2. Talk to management next level up and suggest you might make more sales under manager "Bob Jones" then come up with some reason (avoid bad mouthing current manager)
3. Have a talk with your manager and ask for suggestions for ways to make more sales. Let him suggest some things but then he will be aware you want to make more sales and will probably do more to "help" in that regard (i.e., not be a hinderance).
