Right now, I can't solo on guitar. Now I don't want easy solos if not solos that gives me a challenge to get used to fingering at least. Now Riot by Three Days Grace was a bit of a challenge for me, but now I'm getting used to playing it. Now I'll tell you guys if I mastered that solo, so you guys can suggest me harder solos to gradually getting used to using the techniques. I want to get better at soloing for my new band. As well feel free to give me techniques or tips, too.

Hmmm i looked up riot and im thinking you might mean the riff that runs through most of the song?
It seems very repetitive and doesnt cover much of the fretboard or
Any scales that i could see.
Try these, in my opinion theyre in order of dificulty.
Greenday-american idiot
Guns and roses-knocking on heavens door
Metallica-enter sandman
Led Zepplin-stairway to heaven
Pearljam- alive
Kid rock-all summer long
The knack-my sharona
Now im talking about the solos here bud.
Youll find the easier ones stay close to scale patterns
But they should offer you a good variety of techniques
Like bending, ascending and descending runs, as well
As some fast triplets.
My advice is to look up the pentatonic blues scale and
Practice that in its respective keys.
Also if you can record an easy 12 bar blues loop and just
Jam over the top of it.
Im not saying play the blues, but most guitar solos you hear
Are going to be in a blues scale or use blues riffs.
