Some examples would be first time having sex, first Job, first Car, first deer kill, first beer, Moving out on his own, marriage, having kids, etc.

When a boy bears the first hair on his chest, to me, he is officially a MAN. This can happen at 12 or 45 it makes no difference to me.

Legally its when he turns 18 and can have the option to join the military and put his life on the line.

14 year old boys can grow facial hair and 12 year old boys can kill a deer.  Killing an animal doesnt make you a man.
