What should I offer the jeweler for a 6.2 gram gold pendant? Sticker price is $840.00?

He said the pendant is 4.1 pennyweight and is 7.2 grams.. But after researching online, 4.1 pennyweight is only 6.1 grams. He said for me to make my best offer, so I said $500. He said he can do that. Do you think I can get it for cheaper?

Well if deep down inside he wants to sell it he will settle for what he can get as long as it is close to say 350-400 dollars you should be able to get it  for around that price.
