Me and my husband have been married for just over 2 years. He has a really hard time letting me spend money. A few months back when we had a fight about money, he and i came to a compromise and he gives me an allowance of $10 a week. I am not an over spender, to the point where i have $200+ in my "bank" and he has issues with me spending $30 on a workout. We do not have a 401K like most couples do, so this is our retirement we are saving but we are in our late 20's and have $80 K+ saved. He and I both work full time jobs but only have a joint accounts ( that he checks numerous times a day) and 3 credit cards of which 1 we pay for everything with and pay off EVERY month. He has told me if i want to spend $30 on my workout then i don't need a Birthday Present next month, and i can kiss off our vacation next year. I am at a loss, I love him so much but i honestly think if it continues our marriage is going to be miserable.
