Hi! I am just about to turn fourteen and I got my first period when I was about twelve. Lately I feel like I can't go to school in fear that my period will leak through my pants. I use a menstrual cup and a regular pad as backup (although though the pad gets filled up anyways). I'm not quite sure how much blood my Lily Cup can hold specifically but when I take it out after a school day it's full plus my pad is full. My periods last 7 days and get lighter the third fourth and fifth day. It the first two days are terrible because I don't feel like I can do anything.

Hi my dear. First of all , try to get rid of the fear. Because period is something natural and no shame about it. Imagine the worst thing that can happen to your pants ! No one is going to kill you or you're not going to be fired! So darling, accept your period.
Change your pad soon. Change your lily cup soon. (Lily cup can handle heavy flow - but if you're nervous, empty it soon- it's okay to ask your teacher in middle of the class to go for a pad or lily change ! )
Another thing that may help to lessen your flow , is to take "mefenamic acid" pills (consult your physician).
Try to exercise and keep your body nutrient.
