I am a (kind of) serious gamer, and lately i have been able to think up a lot of cool ideas for a video game. Sometimes, I even have the urge to go out and make it a reality. Unfortunately, despite the amount of effort I've put into trying to learn how to code, I have found this very difficult to do. Now for my question, is there any way for me to write a video game, pay a team to make the game, and still make a profit? Or is that just wishful thinking? I know it wouldn't be cheap, but if I save enough, I'd be more than willing to pay up. If this isn't possible, I would like to know if there is any other way for my dream to come true. Thank you.
What should I do?

Personally, I would prefer programming games in Java using LWJGL (LightWeight Java Game Library), but .NET and Python would work too.
I have a similar problem. I would love to be a game developer, and have learned some simple coding. However, my game ideas are too complex for me to do myself. Every time I try to think of a simpler idea it sounds boring to me, as I personally prefer gameplay to be equal to or more complex than graphics.
You can use www.develteam.com to try to assemble a team, though the site is somewhat confusing at first.
As for the money side, depending on your team members, their levels of expertise, and whether game development is their only income, payment could be a percentage of the profits.
Thanks, I'll try learning to code again. What would you suggest I start with (in terms of programming language)?
