Life's getting boring and onesided. Tired of education and the system. Looking for something different to do. Maybe a long hike or something.

The answer depends a lot on your age. If you are almost 18 you can hit the road, accept rides from strangers, work odd jobs to support yourself, and come back when you feel like you have had enough. If you are nowhere near that old, you are pretty much stuck.
My father quit school before he finished 3rd grade. At age 13 he departed his father's household, thumbed a ride across a state line, and got a job as a construction laborer. At age 21 he married a 15 yo girl. For a while he manufactured lead ornaments, copper plated. Then he operated a one-man mine for several years. Every detail of this story is a crime now.
Yeah, I saw the movie called "A walk in the woods", which was about an elder man deciding to hike it. Seemes pretty cool. Maybe in summer, when im done with high school and free to do whatever i want. Plus it isn't freezing cold.
