Buying clothes is a lifelong process. Your body is going to change a lot over the course of your life. At 14 years old however your choices aren't too hard. Try to be both practical and stylish. Black goes with everything, it hides dirt, and it is slimming. The little black dress is a classic and black clothes will easily mix and match with all other colours. Black also attracts heat a bit, so warm clothes that are black are always slightly warmer. Red attracts men, as do any footwear socks or stockings that go over the knee, exposing a small amount of the thigh between the top of the knee and the bottom of the skirt, it just seems to be hardwired into men to find that attractive. You should have 2 formal outfits, 2 winter outfits, 2 summer outfits, 2 sports outfits (you say you are sporty, 2 casual outfits, and 2 party outfits. If you mix and match between these you will never want for clothes, but make sure you buy outfits with the rest of your look and wardrobe in mind. As to footwear, most women have 20 times the number of shoes they actually need and wind up blowing a fortune on them. Again with shoes, black goes with everything. You probably only need 4 pairs of shoes. 1 high heel, 1 mid heel, 1 flat, and trainers. Importantly, get yourself a solid and attractive leather bag with a good deal of capacity and a strong leather strap that you can wear on your shoulder, they are invaluable, and the right bag never looks out of place with any of your outfits.
