That's silly. You can't exactly measure the area or depth of a river to calculate its volume. You can't be sure exactly how long a river is because it does not have a definite starting or ending point. It took a very long time to discover where the Nile begins because it is dispersed through several swamps. Do you count those swamps as water in the river? How about the Amazon? Does it end at the coast, or do you count another 40 miles into the ocean because you can still dip fresh water there?
