I would like to know what percent of "Tea Party"-ers are unemployed and if they
understand how they have lost their jobs and how Republican candidates have
ALWAYS supported Big Business (corporate tax loopholes, etc.).

This came to mind when I asked the question below:

How can the unemployment rate remain constant when almost a half million
(450,000) people lose their jobs every week and are counted as new unemployment
claims?

One answer from "Yahoo Answers" was:

There is always turn over in the work force with some people losing jobs and
others getting them. The change in the number of people who are unemployed is
the difference plus the number of new people entering the job market minus the
number of people who stop looking for work

My response:

Sometimes I see "new jobs" numbers reported in news articles. Often they range
about 20,000 NEW jobs a month (not "turnover" or jobs vacated by someone leaving
their job to fill a vacated post). These numbers don't add up.
I understand some people are retiring (too old to work), but at the same time
there are many, many young people coming into the labor market, and also people
immigrating here. I would like someone to give me some solid numbers on these
groups and let me know how they got them. It seems that the government would
have some good numbers from Social Security numbers assigned, income tax, the
last census or something like that.

Also, how can so many people "stop looking for work" and not become homeless?
