So, I bought an Elgato HD Game Capture awhile ago, but I couldn't use it due to my PC restraints. Recently I got a new PC that can run the software and do all I need, but in setting it up I can't record now. When I first used the Elgato with my old laptop I just used my normal Xbox One headset and it worked fine, but I loaned it to a friend and he actually had to buy a Blue Snowball just to be able to record his voice. Right now all I have is the absolute basic Xbox One mic and wont pick up my voice. What do I need to do get it picking up my voice in the software? I've tried plugging into both PC jacks, going through the Xbox controller, using Apple iBuds, and it senses a mic is there, but won't seem to register any sound being inputted. Do I need a new headset, or just an adapter cord, or a whole new PC mic? Any help would be appreciated.
