I'm designing some aspects for a story and basically i need a material (considered metal but others can do) which can stand repeated gunfire without much damage (please add these details) at 1 1/2 inches thick. guns in question don't need to be incredibly high - hand guns and maybe a bit more the more details you can give the best. Sorry this seems like a kind of weird thing to ask.
