It's a 1990 ford f 150 5.0 4x4, And it had set for ten years and I all ready pulled it once and the second time I pulled it less than a week later it did it again

for automatic transmission make sure torque converter bolts is taken out and I would take the transfer case off the transmission,take out both drive shafts and cross member,linkage bell houseing bolts and starter.Sometimes you have to take a pry bar and pry the belhouseing from the engine block because the dow pins will rust over which makes it a nightmare to brake loose. Standard shift is almost the same except take the shifter out and leave the clutch and pressure plate on the motor.Pretty much the same.Hope that helps.
