I have to do a survey for a class I'm taking, and I developed this question. I'm looking for opinons from many different people, not minorities or just people that I know. Any answers would be appreciated. :)

I prefer mostly open endings, because it leaves several possibilities for the characters. In the last book of a series, however, resolved endings are better, but maybe leaving a small frame for the readers to wonder about. Cliffhangers are THE WORST in a book, though sometimes they could make a book better. For example, the Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan left at a cliff hanger(somewhat literally) and it was terrible but improved the plot line and left a path for the fourth book.
