A dream that I had once was this: There was a hotel. An old man- seemingly harmless- stayed at the hotel. The owner of the hotel heard footsteps- then the old man ripped her heart out. It was only a movie in my dream. That was why I wasn't in it. But when I woke up, I couldn't close my eyes without imagining the old man waiting to kill me.
I had a dream where I owned this huge old church that I turned into a sort of boarding school, and I went in to unlock the doors for the new term, but I found them already open. I went inside, and found all of my teachers hanging from the rafters (dead obviously), and all I could hear was this manic laughter. Then this woman drifted past me and disappeared.
Then I was trying to teach all the students on my own (as all my teachers were dead) and this woman appeared again, and systematically started slitting the throats of all my students (who were, for some reason, my closest friends and family). Then she came for me, but just stood in front of me, laughing right in my face, and then she disappeared.
The police then arrived, and finding me the only one alive in the midst of all these dead bodies, charged me there and then for mass murder of my closest friends, family, and teachers (the teachers who were hung were my actual teachers that I have in real life), and I was sentenced to life imprisonment with everyone thinking I'd killed all the people I love most.
Then I woke up, tears streaming down my face, and apparently I'd been screaming because my throat was killing me.
