Our house hold has an argument, 1 member won't let me use bleach to clean the bathroom because the smell is "toxic". He does use the chlorinated pool in the summer. I'm trying to explain and make clear to him that the use of bleach to clean isn't harmful.

The smell of bleach is the most unhealthy because the access chemicals can sometimes make you sick but rarely so you it wouldn't hurt to clean the bathroom with it, but a chlorinated pool won't hurt your health because the only thing it does is burn your eyes and if you swallow it too much it will only give you a small stomach ache, but that doesn't mean it will effect your health!
sometimes when you use bleach we have to open the windows and doors in that area to vent because of the smell it can burn your eyes and burn your skin if you get it on you now if you were in a pool that had to much chlorinate in it the same thing can happen your eyes burn and it can burn your skin I think the bleach may be alittle more harmful because of the effects on clothes and the body and the eyes.
