It helps in day-to-day calculations in our daily life.

You use it every day without thinking about it. You use probability and statistics when deciding how much money to draw out from the ATM, the same when you go out on a date and need to decide how much money to take, then you use operational analysis to work out how to get there and how (and when) to return home.

It also underpins all the other sciences so anything from mixing a drink, opening a bottle, walking, playing a computer game (or a real game like chess), seeing, hearing, moving, pretty much everything involves maths (even if you don't know it at the time). But how much better is it to understand it while it happens rather than just accept it without knowing anything about it?
