It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself.
There are many online bibles where you can look up words, verses, and versions. Understanding can be gotten by comparing different versions.

In your case it sounds like you need a dictionary to see what "ramparts" means.

Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store.

RAMPART
A mound of earth or stones, or even a wall, raised as a fortification around a place.
Example - The siege rampart (Heb., so·lelahʹ) was a mound of earth (and sometimes stones) cast up by an army to form an inclined plane for bringing battering rams and other siege equipment against a fortified city. (2 Samuel 20:15)
In some instances the rampart (Heb., chehl) that a city had as a part of its fortifications was built from the earth dug up when a moat was excavated around the city.
The city of Jerusalem had its own fortifications, including a rampart. (Psalms 122:7)
In the case of Lamentations 2:8, this is not a literal wall or rampart but rather a metaphor. The Daughters of Zion, here represent, the relationship, as a father, God had with the Jerusalem, when David had the sacred Ark transferred there. Later, the designation “Zion” embraced the temple area on Mount Moriah (where the Ark was moved during Solomon’s reign) and the term was, in fact, applied to the entire city of Jerusalem. Compare Isaiah 1:8
