What is the rule in case the debtor fails to ascertain which debt his payment is to be applied?

According to the Indian law, the debtor has to reimburse the amount of debt. If he fails to do so then the court may give order for the same.
But if he has not so money to pay the amount then he has to sale his property or assets otherwise the court may do the same.
Rule may change according to the condition.
