What is the role of management in production?

Good management can boost morale, and happy people are more productive. Managers do just what their title says, they manage the work area. They're there to ensure that the work center functions properly by keeping people on task, by taking care of problems (either between people, between people and the company or when difficulties arrise and they have more hands on experience) and by setting tasks and goals to accomplish the overall job.
