What is the purpose of creating hyper link?

Hyperlink is like a gateway from one room to another. The purpose of creating hyperlinks is to reduce the amount of effort you apply to type in the address of that link. Hyperlink simply embeds that link into a word underneath which a link is hidden.....Pressing that hyperlink will redirect you to the page but the same happens if u type in the address of the hyperlink in the address bar but who does that hard work? And so hyperlink came in to shorten up the effort to type individual links! Some times hyperlinks work as directory exploring buttons....to shift from one page to another or just for the convenience of the user. Hyperlinks enhance the beauty of a page as those massive links aren't exposed to the main page. Try checking out the source code of the hyperlink.....I'm sure it looks scary! Almost 70% of this webpage is made up of hyperlinks....imagine what would happen if they were massive sentences instead of short phrase or word?
