If could be that you either have a very persistent virus or a pile up of system errors. You could do system recovery or a system reset (of course after backing up your stuff) or you could bring it to a repair shop. It's not advised to try solutions on your own if you're not sure what you're dealing with though, but If you're sure about it, you might want to try recovery or reset or you could google the characteristics of your particular case and see if there's a solution for it.
There are many reason that it is crashing could have overloaded with tabs, there is a virus, there are so much file that the computer memory cannot hold anymore. You can clean it up or reformat it but make sure you have a back up files for that. If your not used or knowledgeable in reformatting computer you must sick some people that are good in it.
It could be coz' of the ram memory, hard disk, the BIOS, the power outlet or worse the motherboard. You can try to clean the Ram using an eraser. If it is the BIOS, just remove the battery and return it after 20 mins. If it is the hard disk, it could be bec. of bad sectors. Contact a technician. Btw, are you using an AVR? It will regulate the power supply. If it is the motherboard, then buy a new PC.
