Over the years I've been checking out the multi-axis political spectrum charts (PoliticalCompass type authoritarian/libertarian,economically left/right 2D chart, check it out) debating the different pros and flaws of different systems"This is nice, but it will never work because of this. This is flawed because of that,...) until I realized I am staring right at the solution-the exact middle of the chart!
So the question is what would a system that is right in the middle look like?
What is equally authoritarian and libertarian and equally left/right system.
Most countries today are somewhere in the upper right quadrant.
(As a side note ) I routinely score slightly left and slightly libertarian, but so close to the middle, I might as well be the middle.
(I also accept a simple 2D chart might not be detailed enough to capture the complexity of the human politics, but humor me please. Act as if you accept the chart.)
