My answer to ur question personally, would be as simple as this. My key to happiness is going to bed at the end of everyday feeling loved, healthy and proud to be who I am. I have family and friends that love me, I am healthy. Money, THEY say is the key to happiness, but I dont fully believe that..Yes, u need money to live and do things, but it doesnt have to be the center of anybodys happiness. My family, my friends, my cat. That's MY key to happiness. Maybe you already know deep down what yours is..
thank you
:-) Many people believe that money, fame, or beauty will make them happy. Hence, they pursue such things—only to find that happiness eludes them.
WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES:
Jesus identified the key to happiness when he said: “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matthew 5:3) True happiness can be found only if we take steps to fill our greatest need—our hunger for spiritual truth about God and his purpose for us. That truth is found in the Bible. Knowing that truth can help us to discern what is really important and what is not. Allowing Bible truth to guide our decisions and actions leads to a more meaningful life.—Luke 11:28.
Someone once told me if money is just a number and numbers go on forever, so if you are to chase money you will be chasing for every. Even though money is a necessity to buy things that we need to live it shouldn't consume your life. It's actually proven that those who live normal lives are much happier then those who have everything. A perfect example of this would be Bill Gates who him self donated more then half of his fortunes to the less fortunate. Happiness to me is waking up everyday going to work going to the gym and hanging with friends and family, I couldn't picture my self living life in another way. Life is very precious
We can find happiness by applying Bible principles in our lives.
1. Think of Your Spiritual Needs
“Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matthew 5:3)
2. Keep Your Life Simple
Look at Jesus’ counsel on the matter of wealth. After counseling against making the pursuit of wealth the main thing in life, he made a striking expression. He said: “If, then, your eye is simple, your whole body will be bright.” (Matthew 6:19-22) Essentially, he said that if we avidly pursue wealth, power, or any of the other goals people set for themselves, we will lose out on more important things.
3. Vital to happiness is a feeling of personal dignity, or self-worth. Because of human imperfection and the resulting weaknesses, some have a negative view of themselves, and for many, such feelings date from childhood. It may be hard to overcome entrenched feelings, but it can be done. The solution lies in applying God’s Word.
The Bible explains how the Creator feels about us. Is not his view more important than that of any human—even our own? The very personification of love, God looks at us without prejudice or malice. He sees us for what we are, as well as for what we can be. (1 Samuel 16:7; 1 John 4:8)
The key to happiness is realizing that happiness is not something that you can attain; it is not a place, not a product, not a person. Happiness is a state of being, you have to be happy, you can't become happy. Therefore the key to happiness is to learn the art of being happy moment by moment. You can't be happy in yesterday, it's gone, you can't be happy in a tomorrow not yet born. My key to happiness is to live a life of realization: I am not the body that suffers pain, I am not the mind that becomes miserable, I am not the ego that becomes agonized. So I am not the body, mind and ego, I am the Divine Soul. This key makes me happy all the time.
