Love is when you are aware of a need and you take care of it.
A person has five needs: air, water, food, clothing/shelter and companionship. As a person grows, needs might become more complex, but love is still awareness and caring.
The word is used with a lot of other meanings, but there is nothing to be gained by arguing. Some people just need to be accepted even though they don't know what they are saying.
1 John 4:7 says: Beloved ones, let us continue loving one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and knows God.
Jehovah God is the source of love. The highest form of love is based on right principles. This love can include affection and warm feelings for someone, but it involves more than simple feelings. It is shown by unselfish action that benefit others. It is love that motivates us to do good things for others. This kind of love gives joy and meaning to life.
“God is love.” He is the very essence of love. (1 John 4:8) All his works and actions bear witness to his love. His greatest act of love toward mankind was that of sending his son Jesus to suffer and die for us. The apostle John stated: “By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might gain life through him. . The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:9, 10) Because of God’s love, we can obtain forgiveness, hope, and life.
Jesus proved his love for mankind by willingly carrying out God’s will.
