I recently got a puppy that I was told was a black and white Newfoundland. The person called her a Landseer and said it was simply the color type. As she has gotten older I've found that she is thinner with longer legs, a not-as-heavy coat and a VERY high energy level for what I was expecting. Further research has strongly suggested that she is actually a Landseer ECT which I've found out is very much not the same. I would like to know if the growth rate is affected due to the difference in physique. She is small for her age by Newfoundland standards (about 70lbs at 11 months) and I know that this is about the time regular Newfoundlands slow down significantly in growth and Landseer ECT's are still supposed to get to about 110 to 130 for females.
I guess I'm just curious if I got the runt of the litter or still have a lot of dog left
