What is the Enlightenment? Why does it matter?

‘Enlightenment’ as the word suggest is bringing in the light, bringing in the light of the Truth. What happens when we enter a room which has no light? It's dark, we can see nothing. As we walk, we may tumble and fall. As we try to pick something from the table, things will tumble and fall because there is no light. So it is with life. When there is no Enlightenment, we are tumbling and falling in the misery of body, mind, and ego. Therefore, when we are Enlightened, we realize the Truth, we overcome ignorance. Therefore, it is very important to be Enlightened. We must go in quest, we must question everything that we are told until we ask, we investigate, and we realize the Truth. That is Enlightenment.
