What is the different between voluntary and volunteer work?

I have difficulty in  differentiating between voluntary and volunteer work.Could you guys give me an detailed and exact answer?

well voluntary work is when someone is working on a shift that is voluntary you do get paid for it while volunteer work is when the person isn't getting paid but is volunteer to do something with no pay

Voluntary work is usually that which you are asked to perform and you agree to do so freely, usually on the job or in some other capacity. 

Volunteer work is an organized effort to reach out and assist those in need of advice, counsel, knowledge or other assistance.  It involves actively seeking the opportunity to help others.
