The difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is a psychiatrist will generally see you from a time frame of 5-15 minutes to 30 minutes or an hour and normally doesn't listen to your problems, but instead your symptoms (sick stomach, crying all the time, etc) and will compile this list for a diagnosis bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, etc and from that point, he or she will prescribe medication from there.
A psychologist or psychologist will listen to any difficulties you may have such as school, home problems etc and generally does a session or counseling session where you sit and talk for like 50 to 60 minutes and may say you need to see him or her weekly, every two weeks or once a month depending on how much he or she thinks you may need to talk to someone. The difference between a psychiatrist is they do not tend to listen to difficulties you are having but instead symptoms you are having and mainly deal with prescribing medicines for mental health. A psychologist does not prescribe medicine. Hope my lengthy answer helped!
