My boss has a collection of framed and unframed photography and art prints that he wants to unload and he's given me the task. Most online and store consignments are for people selling their own art. Are there suggestions for good shops/websites that are handy for selling off an art collection?
What is the best way to sell art (not my own) off or online?

It reall depends on the basic value of the pieces, i.e. are they by a reputable or well known photographer? are they mass produced or one off prints?
If they are just nice mass produced prints they are obviously not as in demand as one f a kind or limited editions. If the pieces are a set and go together well you may want to try local auction houses or general second hand dealers who also buy furniture and homewhere as they might be the sort of thing that are perfect as sold as a lot for corperate buildings or up market resteraunts etc. there is so much art online its difficult to get the real worth of things this way.
I my opinion you are better either finding a local art dealer who may charge a small commission for selling but will get you a good result, or else selling them directly to a second hand homeware/decor dealer as a complete lot.
hope this helps
There is a sight that I use for my school portfolio that is also good for businesses, it is called wixx.com it is hard to understand but it is free and once you get the hang of it you can pretty much do just about anything on there I love it and I can be very creative.
