I have been discussing a land purchase with another party. We have a meeting set to finalize the deal. I have now decided I do not want to go through with the purchase. Is it better to email them and let them know I am no longer interested or, wait until the meeting to tell them? I'm not sure it if will offend them since they are going into this meeting with the assumption I am buying, but instead will tell them I'm not interested at this time, but perhaps in 6 months or so I will revisit the idea. There isn't a large amount of travel involved, but it still feels like a waste of time to go ahead with the meeting.
