What is hope about?

The best way to understand hope is to understand its acronym, HOPE: Having Only Positive Expectations . Having said that, in one stage of life, we live with hope, we have positive expectations because we have faith. We trust God, we believe that good things will happen, we eliminate pessimism as we live with optimism. But everything that we hope for may not happen. If we truly want to live with hope we must have only positive expectations, but we must also go one step further, we must learn to surrender. We must surrender to the Divine will, knowing that the Divine knows more about what we need than we know and so while we must have only positive expectations, we must also live with surrender and acceptance.
