Augmented reality is getting closer and closer to us, penetrating into many areas of our life. But I am interested in the field of marketing. On the Internet, you can find a lot of cases using the AR. But what percentage of them are really successful? What risks should we consider when introducing augmented reality into a business?
Would you use augmented reality in your business?
What is AR marketing and how to use it correctly?

Augmented Reality (AR) marketing sets a new trend for brands to communicate with their audience via their mobile app using interactive content. AR technology made it possible to visualize myriad types of digital content, thus easily accessing missing information about product's size, shape and/or features
In simple terms, it’s a way of communicating with customers interactively. AR allows users to try on a product/service in a real-world environment virtually.
If we talk about its demand in the eCommerce segment, 71% of consumers say that they would buy more often with AR. Another 61% prefer retailers with AR experience. Not only this, AR ads are seeing a 520% increase in the intent to purchase a product/service.
One of the examples is VirginHolidays. They ran an AR-enabled email campaign and saw a 42% increase in email rate with a 75% increase in CTR. On the other hand, Shopify found that 3D product visualizations result in a 200% boost in conversions.
Considering these statistics, we can surely say that AR is transforming the business approaches. If you ask me, I would definitely go for Augmented Reality Marketing. Although it’s in the initial stage now, it would be a necessity in the near future.
