I'm an atheist and have been always but I am not an antagonist atheist that is, someone who goes out of their way to deride someone who believes in a god or gods they actively seek to promote the fact of the nonexistence of gods and work to remove religion from all aspects of life. Basically they hate the idea, practise and system of religion so much so that they try to persuade others to abandon their religion and work towards a world without religion in it.
While I don't do this myself I do wish them luck, the world would be a better place without religion in it.

Atheism is the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists.
However, there is a new breed of atheists - they call themselves the New Atheists. They are not content to keep their views to themselves. Rather, they are on a crusade, and are actively, angrily, & passionately trying to persuade the religious to their point of view. Even those who claim to be agnostics are in their sights, for these new atheists allow no room for doubt. To them, there simply is no God. End of story.
