What is a reliable VR computer?

So up until now I've had this old laptop that can barely run minecraft.  I've also been very interested in getting either a Vive or Oculus Touch.

However, I know that my old laptop will NOT run any VR hardware, so that begs the question...

What computer should I invest in?

I don't want to pay thousands of dollars for a computer that can break easy, but I don't want to buy something cheap that can not handle a simple FPS.

I want something in the middle, something that can handle VR, doesn't break easy, and is reliable...

Anyone know any reliable computers that aren't too expensive?  They also have to be able to run both Vive and Oculus Touch b/c I don't know which one I'll get yet.

Go to tigerdirect.com or newegg.com and contact customer service. They will set you up with a nice computer for a pretty good price. You can save a few bux by buying a kit, if you have a friend who can show you how to assemble it.

Guessing now: you can get a good computer for a few hundred dollars, but it's possible that the video card will cost more than the rest of the machine. So you should ask people who actually play your game what video cards they recommend. Get a solid state drive (SSD). You will be glad you did.
