They were men chosen by God for the Holy Spirit to speak through and perform divine authenication miracles through until the completion of the Bible & God warned many false prophets would appear after Christ but God would give no more word until Jesus returns to planet earth.Since Jesus God has had no prophets, all are phonies.Read the last verses in Revelations.
"When that what is perfect " God is not talking about Christ. The tense here is not talking about a person but the completion of the cannon of scriptures. Also Paul stated "tongues shall cease. Greek for cease is pauo.pauo's def is together for and by themselves shall cease permantly,& he stated same for miracles through men and gave His new way of healing in James. He also made it clear that there would be no confusion when He spoke. Rev definitely is today & tells what is happening now & immediate future. He also warned He was to send a great delusion in these days that people He was angry with would believe a lie so He would not save them as if they would repent,He would save them.Beware of things NEW as it is the age old time Gospel that saves. We were forewarned in the last days the Spirit of Anti-Christ would perform miracles deceiving many in the name of Christ.Study through Bible History:Often the popular thing was not what God was behind.Counterfeits are everywhere:Beware! My prof,Dr Ed Hindson of Liberty Univ known for his Bible authority teachings wrote this book which can open your eyes:APPROACHING ARMAGEDDON: The World Prepares For War With God.I strongly suggest all gets & reads this book.
Foster D, I am not looking to argue with anyone. Again the last verses of Revelation are talking about the Book of Revelation itself.
Yes, Antichrist is coming. For sure Antichrist has already come. In every generation there is an Antichrist. For sure we have an enemy. However, in most American Christians the biggest enemy is themselves. What about that Antichrist spirit in all of us? (when we want it our way and not the Lord's way) We have to put down our flesh everyday. We are called to lay our lives before the Lord everyday and present our bodies as a living sacrifice to Jesus. Jesus said that sweet waters and bitter cannot come from the same well. We have to guard our speech, so that sweet waters are continually coming from our stream.
Again, the kingdom of God is continually advancing (Matt. 3:2, Luke 10:9, Rev. 5:10). Jesus said, " I saw Satan fall like lightning." (Luke 10:18). Jesus saw this. Satan's kingdom is retreating, not advancing.
Has not your Pastor said something to the effect that the Book of Acts is still being written? It still is. The Book of Acts is "The Acts of the Apostles." You could say the acts of the saints. We (the saints), I assume that you are one, are still letting the Holy Spirit lead us. Therefore, the Book of Acts is still being written...in effect.
Hey FosterD. I just saw that people can become friends. Would you like to become friends? Just a thought....
yes, can always use friends as my "friends" disappeared saying God had other things when things got dangerous. They were unwilling to pay a high price for the work of God. If I told you what I am fighting you would not think I'm sane unless you are old enough to have heard Dr Whitiker's National TV Broadcast news & testimony on "TBN's Calling Dr Whitiker about victims of Org Crime with Chemicals & viruses as long as 10 years and some much longer.Ask older Christians who may remember that broadcast 17-18 yrs ago.He quit helping & joined the bad guys unknown if for threats(He became a victim also) or for $$$.My time is near & I've given the bad guys powerful resistance and have seen more O>T>style miracles than perhaps any other Christian in USA.Saved in Ithaca,NY called to LBC(now Liberty Univ) in Va.Fortunate to sit under Dr Ed Hindson & other Bible Greats.Medical probs & age now slowing me down(69yrs).I disagree with much you wrote but not for your stand for Him.That can't stop friends in Christ nor stop us for standing up for him.Try catching Dr Ed Hindson on TV prophesy program.Another is Jack Vanipe on web & TV.How old are you?If you hear no more I may be in hosp or with Christ, otherwise will be glad to ans.
I am 41 years old, Foster D. I spent many of Christianity portion of my life in the United Penecostal Church. I am now learning under Pastor Steve Gray at World Revival Church. We are seeing Bible experience unveil before our very eyes. You are right. I do not know what battle you are referring to. Obviously, I know a little about the battle of the ages.
I take an unwaivering stand for Yahweh God. There is a greater distinction between light and darkness in these days. We as Christians must pull people away from the darkness and toward Jesus Christ. We cannot push them toward Christ. Let them see the fruit of our lives. Pure and devoted lives we must live, so that others will see and want to live that way.
God is doing great things in this hour. Again, increasing light not increasing darkness. Check out www.worldrevivalchurch.com. Specifically, the testimonies on that site.
Prophets are people to proclaim the words of God. People like to mystify a prophetic utterance. The words do not come from that person, but from Almighty God. Saying, "I love Jesus," with all your heart is a prophetic utterance. Yes, prophecies are prophetic, but that is a small portion of the prophetic utterances. There are undoubted prophets on the earth right now. As for Foster D's description of prophecies no longer in existence...if you read that last chapter in the Book of Revelation it is talking about the prophecies in that specific book, not prophecies in general. God's kingdom is an ever advancing kingdom. In an ever advancing kingdom, the prophecies don't cease. Looking in I Corinthians 13, things cease when perfection comes (Jesus rules on this earth). That is a different time.
