I made a dragon costume with wings made of fiberglass rods, which I learned the hard way because the left wing shattered off of the backplate. I want to know of a good material that's still lightweight but flexible and sturdy to recreate the wings with so they can still function by opening and closing on a pulley system. I would love to know if anyone has any brilliant or even subtle thoughts on what I may be able to try. Thank you!

Hmmm... I'm not entirely sure. They do tend to get bent up after a while, but I think it should be fine. Might as well try-- at least they won't shatter :)
Thank you. Would the hangers work on a full motor function though? The wings I had made were designed to be able to open and close. I've known wire hangers are stubborn to bend and stay bent unless absolute force has been dropped on them, but could they survive the day in costume quite possibly closed all day?
