A number is a primitive mathematical term. Let p be a term, with
{p|p € C, p != 0} ,
which essentially says that if p is a number it must not be 0 (numbers evaluate to themselves) and if p is a more complex term, it must not evaluate to 0.

p/p = p^1 * p^-1 = p^0 = 1
