constantly brings him in the house? There are dog hairs everywhere; on the laundry, in the kitchen, on our clothes, (& since I don't allow him to come upstairs to bedrooms, his hair still comes up on clothes - I'm miserable! What do I do? My husband thinks I am making a big deal out of it; I don't.

Depending on the severity of your allergy you could take some meds for it and try to keep the dog. If that doesn't work either put your foot down about the rules the dog and spouse have to follow, or re-home the dog, hopefully with someone you trust (please don't just send it to the pound).
Personally I think your spouse was rather insensitive about the issue, if it was really so important that they got a dog (aka. a dog is more important to them than your good health) they should have gotten one you would not be allergic to. There are breeds of dogs that do not shed (crossed with poodle) and some are specifically bred to be non-allergenic, proper research and reliable breeders must be found though and the cost would go up because breeding these traits in can be quite difficult.
If you're aiming to keep the dog you have then be firm and enforce the rules that it is an outside dog. I don't know what kind of breed it is but a dog is a dog and living outside isn't going to hurt it no matter if it's a Great Dane or a Chihuahua (though there are some breeds, depending on your location and weather, that might find the outside a bit harsh in some seasons), and it'll be happy as can be in nature (fingers crossed it doesn't have separation anxiety) as long as it gets plenty of love and mental stimulation as well as proper care.
I'm with you on this, you're husband is in the wrong.
Hope I helped :)
PS - because he does spend time outside and is limited to certain areas, my allergies to him aren't bad! (YET!)
That's good. I hope you can reach a compromise that keeps the entire family happy and, most importantly, you healthy. :)
Thanks for your answer! I agree with you completely! In the two weeks that we have had him, I have made a stink at the dog hairs around and my husband and the kids have been good about keeping him outside, but he still comes in way too much for my liking!
Thanks again!
