I just thought about this in the middle of the night so I'm just wondering if it is.

No. Many many people have no common sense better known as sound judgement.
"But here's the catch. Common sense is neither common nor sense. There's not a whole of sound judgment going on these days (though whether it is worse than in the past, I can't be sure), so it's not common. If common sense was common, then most people wouldn't make the kinds of decisions they do every day. People wouldn't buy stuff they can't afford. They wouldn't smoke cigarettes or eat junk food. They wouldn't gamble. And if you want to get really specific and timely, politicians wouldn't be tweeting pictures of their private parts to strangers. In other words, people wouldn't do the multitude of things that are clearly not good for them."

Common sense is a phrase that is subjective and used differently depending on society and who you ask. Common sense can vary based on a persons morals, lifestyle, the place they live in or who they live with. Common sense to one person might not be that of the other and usually falls under the category of knowledge that most people seem to know or at least what people record others knowing or observe others knowing. For example common sense to one person may be not to kill under any circumstances and common sense to the other person is do not kill unless you have to. Common sense can also have similar ideas like in this example but is indefinite following the same moral “do not kill”. It has part to do with what the “majority” knows but is also based on perspective.
