Ive been watching videos about people who were able to see new colors after wearing sunglasses which separated light in a way that made them able to see color they weren't able to before , would it be possible if some modified lens would allow dogs to see more color and has anyone tried this or thought about this?

All eyes use the same chemical dyes to detect the same colors: red, green, and blue. Rarely someone will be able to see indigo, but not after childhood. Some insects can see ultraviolet, and that is that. Nobody can see any other color, not no way, not no how.
Since your "what if" is not possible, you are talking about science fiction and it can be anything your story telling skills can support.
