I am doing an science fair experiment on testing the hardness of water in different locations. Wayyy before we can start the experiment we have to do a research report and part of it is explaining what individuals or groups would benefit from the results in your experiment. So does any one know how individuals or groups/ companies would benefit from the results of this experiment? If so, how would they benefit from the results? All answers are greatly appreciated!!
What/how individuals or groups would benfit from knowing the results of waterhardness in their area?

Every experiment, whether scientific or not, should benefit the society in many ways. But it's also true that the benefit not always useful for today, but many years after that. I can give you an example--just an example, Horace Wells. His experiment become useful many years after his death. So, instead think about what the benefit will come from an experiment, just act accordingly to what an experiment should be performed.
I hope this can help.
