The most obvious GCSE course to take to become a music teacher is music! If you are planning on becoming a self-employed music teacher it may be a good idea to take business studies if your school allows it, to help you manage your finances. Maths will help with these skills too, but everyone has to take this as a subject at GCSE level.
If you are planning on becoming a music teacher you may consider yourself a creative person, in which case a creative subject such as art, drama, English literature or media might appeal to you also if you are looking for additional subjects to fill up the gaps.
